Australian Standards set explicit requirements for the procedures, materials and practices to be used in a particular field. Work that you carry out throughout both your course, and your working career will generally have to be completed in accordance with the relevant Australian Standard.

National Construction Code/Building Code of Australia

The  National Construction Code (NCC), previously known as the Building Code of Australia, sets out required standards for the design and construction or  Australian buildings, in areas such as structure, fire resistance, access and egress, services and equipment, energy efficiency, and health and amenity.
