Harvard Referencing

This guide shows students and staff how to reference using the Harvard Referencing style.

Lecture Material

Items such as PowerPoint slides, whiteboard notes, or lecture’s statements may be included as an in-text reference, but are not included in the list at the end.

In-text citation:

In a lecture for Diploma of Nursing (HC516) presented on 16 June, 2014 at Box Hill Institute, C. Power explained…

 

If, however, you are referring to presentation slides that are available online, e.g. Moodle, then you include these in the list at the end.

The in-text citation for this example would be (Box Hill Institute, 2013).
