Coronavirus (COVID-19) related changes to Library services

Due to current restrictions all campus libraries are now closed.

Any books and other library items you have borrowed will be automatically extended; no action is required by you.

We advise you to look for online alternatives via our Discovery Catalogue .

You can reach us by email to library@boxhill.edu.au. Most library staff are working remotely and are still available to assist you with advice and training on library resources, including the online resources available to you while access to hardcopy resources is restricted.

The Box Hill Institute's Library skills toolkit aims to give you the knowledge to be able to effectively search for information across a variety of sources.

Content has been split into the following areas:

Some sections also include quizzes so you can test your learning.

You can either work your way through all the content, or skip those sections where you are already comfortable with your knowledge. If you want more practice, try referring to the Study Smart tutorial from the Queensland University of Technology Library - this provides a great overview of the research process, including exercises.
