Items may be returned to any Box Hill Institute Campus library.

At Elgar there is a returns box within the library a returns chute outside the library and is accessible when Building B3 is open. The after hours return chute at the City (CAE) library is located outside the study room and is accessible when the building is open. A Lilydale there is a returns chute next to the Lilydale Community Library's entrance, and another on the outside of the building. Look for the 'Your Library' signage. Nelson Library has a returns box within the study room of the library.  These can be accessed whenever the building is open.

Renewing

If you require your items for longer you can renew for another 2 weeks. You can do this an unlimited number of times unless a hold has been placed on the item and it is required by another user, or you have overdue items - 3 weeks past their due date.

Renew loans in person, over the phone, by email or online.

Holds

Place holds on items which are on loan or held at another Campus Library. You will be contacted by email when items are available for collection from your preferred library.

Late, Lost, & Damaged Items

It is the sole responsibility of the borrower to return resources on or before the due date.

Borrowers may continue to borrow and renew items if the item being renewed is not on hold and the borrower has no items 21 days or more overdue.

If an item is not returned within 21 days of the due date, the item will be considered lost and the borrower will be sent a bill for the replacement cost of the item, plus a processing fee.

Library privileges will be suspended, and, for students, results will be withheld.
