Substance Dependency Work

A Drug and Alcohol worker provides support and guidance to those that are recovering from alcohol and substance abuse. They help to provide realistic goals and develop strategies to help someone who is recovering from alcohol and substance abuse transition away from triggers and provide regular counselling and support.

Drug and Alcohol Workers can:

  • Provide counselling and support to individuals, partners or family groups
  • Help those recovering from drug and alcohol abuse with their day to day care as needed.
  • Visit and meet with clients
  • Provide a safe space for clients to implement rehabilitation strategies with client
  • Also facilitate group discussion such as Alcoholics Anonymous Groups.
