Community Services: Human Behaviour

Human Behaviour

Understanding human behaviour is a key aspect of working with individuals and it is important to observe individuals and pick up on their overt and covert behaviour to help understand people’s feelings towards certain situations. Overt behaviour is behaviour that can be observed in social situations such as facial expressions, blinking, crying and smiling for example. Covert behaviour is behaviour that occurs inside the mind of the individual so this is their imagination and private thoughts that the individual holds.
